9.1ÌýÌýÌýÌý Holiday pay

The Holiday Act, s 8 stipulates a statutory five weeks holiday entitlement. Up to one week's additional holiday entitlement is often contractually agreed for salaried employees (see 9.2).

Salaried employees are paid their usual salary during holidays plus a lump sum of 1% of the gross annual salary (the Holiday Allowance) subject to certain deductions. The Holiday Allowance is normally paid in April or May.

For non-salaried employees (see 9.2) 12.5% of the gross annual salary (the Holiday Pay)
