3.4.3 Maternity leave

Germany

The maternity protection law (MuSchG) governs the rights and duties of pregnant employees. They have the right to:

•�� continued wage payments during antenatal examinations

•�� prohibition of termination of employment because of pregnancy, and
��
•�� the maternity protection period during which the mother is entitled to leave
