In common with all EU countries, all employees are entitled to a period of paid annual leave. The basic rule in Poland is as follows:

•ÌýÌýÌýÌý 20 days leave if the employee has been employed for less than ten years
- Ìý
•ÌýÌýÌýÌý 26 days where the employee has been employed for more than ten years
Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata amount of leave, rounded up to the nearest day.
Time spent in higher or further education will add to an employee's time in service record. The time added is as follows:
- Ìý
•ÌýÌýÌýÌý basic vocational school – up to three years
- Ìý
•ÌýÌýÌýÌý secondary school of general education – four years
