9.6 Working hours

Poland

Working hours cannot exceed eight hours in any 24 or an average of 40 hours in an average five-day working week in a reference period applied by the employer of not more than four months.

However, the Labour Code provides an exception to this rule, eg relating to work which, due to production technology, cannot be broken off. In this case, the number of working hours in any 24 hours can be extended. Overtime
