3.1ÌýÌýÌýÌý Salary

There is no statutory minimum wage in Sweden, as generally, employers agree rates of pay with the unions relevant to their specific industry, through collective bargaining agreements. As a result, employers should refer to those agreements to determine not only rates of pay, but also entitlement to pay during absence from work.

It is important to note that, regardless of whether a worker is a member of a union or not, they are entitled to receive the same level of compensation detailed within any collective bargaining agreements that exist.

'Gross salary' means compensation for work before tax deductions. The gross salary includes all cash salary compensation paid to employees, such as monthly salary, hourly salary, sick pay, holiday pay, overtime compensation and taxable cost compensation. It also
