AU1.8 Double tax relief

Where an individual is resident of both Australia and a foreign country, the individual may be liable for tax in both countries on the same income. Where Australia has a Double Tax Agreement (DTA) in place with the other country, and the DTA allows for a credit for any foreign taxes paid, a foreign income tax offset ('FITO')
