FR2.13.1ÌýÌýÌýÌý Brexit and the end of the implementation period
Global workers encounter a very complex legal framework. The EU principle of free movement (right to live, work, study or have social security coverage anywhere in the EU) is no longer applicable to the UK. Due to the Withdrawal Agreement, the status quo had been preserved during the implementation period of Brexit but things have changed since this period came to an end on 31 December 2020.
