Tax credits reduce the amount of income tax an individual must pay in Ireland.
All individuals are entitled to a Personal Tax Credit, either at the married / civil partnership, single, widowed/surviving civil partner rate. For 2023 and 2024, the Personal Tax Credit is as follows:
