The power of attorney in Switzerland (also known as 'procuration') is a legal document by which a person gives power to another to act in their name (Federal Act on the Amendment of the Swiss Civil Code – Part Five: The Code of Obligations, Art 32). In Switzerland, the power of attorney can be granted by the principal to the agent for various legal purposes.
