UK2.2.1ÌýÌýÌýÌý UK rental property owned by individuals
Overview
An individual may have multiple sources of property income:

•ÌýÌýÌýÌý UK property business—this is property income from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The profits from a UK property business are pooled together and reported as one business, as opposed to separate properties. For details of UK property businesses operated by UK non-residents, see UK2.1.3
- Ìý
•ÌýÌýÌýÌý overseas property business—this is property income arising from sources outside the UK (which includes the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands). See UK2.2.6
- Ìý
•ÌýÌýÌýÌý UK furnished holiday letting (FHL) business—before 6 April 2025 this a property business that must be considered separately from an individual's UK property business and any European Economic Area (EEA) FHL business. The furnished holiday let rules are abolished from 6 April 2025. For the conditions that had to be met for the property to qualify as a UK FHL, see UK2.2.3
