Australia currently has several bilateral international social security agreements, which can be found at the Department of Social Security and at Legilslation.gov.au.
The site is updated as agreements come into force. A recent agreement between Australia and Serbia enters into force on 1 February 2024 (Serbian Ministry).
All the agreements are based on the principle of reciprocal shared responsibility; that is, responsibility to support people through social security
