General visa requirements

Foreigners wishing to travel to the Bahamas for business may require a visa for entry into the country. Be sure to check the 'Visa Requirements for Foreign Visitors to the Bahamas' to determine the visa requirements for specific countries; which can be found on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs eVISA site. Generally, persons from countries listed as having no visa requirement can stay up to eight months in the Bahamas, if they have a valid passport.

Please note that Bahamian citizens looking to sponsor a foreigner to join them in the Bahamas must apply in person at the Bahamas Consular Division, in Nassau.

The application must be submitted along with all relevant supporting documents and the required processing fees in person at the nearest Bahamas Consulate or Embassy.
