Colombia

In Colombia, there is a differential treatment if the sick leave is of common origin or of labour origin.

Common origin

Diseases or accidents of common origin are considered to have no causal relationship with the employment relationship. The payment to the employee can be made by the employer or different entities that are part of the social security regime as set out below:
