The Tapera Public Housing Savings (Tabungan Perumahan Rakyat) Program, also known as the Tapera, is a government initiative to assist those on a low to middle income with purchasing affordable housing. Importantly, while access to the funds is limited to low/middle income individuals, the scope of those that must pay into the fund is wide, and impacts a variety of employers and employees that operate within the country.
