Sick leave
Under the Holidays with Pay Order 1973 (accessed via the MOJ website), workers are entitled to ten days sick leave per year. The employee should be paid whilst on sick leave if they qualify for paid sick leave in accordance with section 8 of the Act.
In their first year of employment, they will qualify for paid sick leave of one day for every 22 days worked, if they have worked for their employer for at least 110 days.
From their second year of employment onwards, the employees are entitled to paid sick leave
