9.3 Termination

Where an employee leaves a position they can request a certificate stating the:

  1. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý period of employment

  2. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý kind of occupation

  3. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý position in the enterprise

  4. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý wages

The employer must deliver this certificate without delay (Labour Standards Law, Ch II, Art 22).

The statutory notice period for dismissal is 30 days. Payment of average wages for 30 days instead of notice or a combination of notice and payment are also acceptable. The 30-day notice period does not apply to employees who are terminated during the first 14 days of the probationary period (Labour Standards
