CanadaOn 1 November 2024, the Canada Revenue Agency announced the maximum pensionable earnings and contributions for 2025 as follows:
– CPP contribution rates and amounts:
The Year's Maximum Pensionable Earnings (YMPE) 2025 is set at CAD 71,300 (up from CAD 68,500 in 2024). The basic exemption amount for 2025 will be kept at CAD 3,500.
The Employee and employer CPP contribution rates for 2025 will be kept at 5.95%, and the maximum contribution is set at CAD 4,034.10 each (up from CAD 3,867.50 in 2024).
– CPP2 contribution rates and amounts:
The 2025 YAMPE (Year's Additional Maximum Pensionable Earnings) is set at CAD 81,200 (up from CAD 73,200 in 2024). Pensionable earnings between CAD 71,300 and CAD 81,200.00 are subject to CPP2 contributions.
The Employee and employer CPP2 contribution rates for 2025 will be kept at 4.00%, and the maximum contribution is set at CAD 396 each (up from CAD 188 in 2024).
