Regardless of the total annual value of PAYE and ESCT, the Inland Revenue are encouraging employers to file employment information electronically via one of the following methods:
- Ìý
•ÌýÌýÌýÌý manual entry on screen, via the employer's myIR account
- Ìý
•ÌýÌýÌýÌý file upload, via the employer's myIR account, or
- Ìý
•ÌýÌýÌýÌý automated information exchange from the payroll software to the employer's myIR account via Gateway Services
In order to be able to file electronically, the employer must have first created a myIR account, which will require the IRD number or customer identifier for the business or organisation and an email address (see 5.1.1).
Manual entry on screen via myIR
The following procedures should be followed.
Once logged in to myIR, select 'File or upload a return' on the current period, on the payroll account, and then select 'Complete online'. Fill out the online return by adding the pay day and each employee's information in their individual tabs, then select 'Next'. Check that the information
