3.4.1 Ordinary weekly pay or average weekly pay

All employees, regardless of whether they are engaged on a permanent, temporary, full- or part-time basis (with the exception of those in the armed forces), are entitled to at least statutory minimum leave. Employers are expected to inform their new employees about their entitlements set out in Holidays Act 2003 through the contract of employment, along with details of Employment New Zealand, where they can access further information.
