6.3 Inbound employees on assignment

New Zealand

New Zealand and Australia operate collectively, the Trans-Tasman Travel Arrangement, details of which can be found on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade website, which makes provision for the free movement of citizens between the two countries, with certain restrictions on the availability of social security and more relaxed rules around visas.

To employ expatriate employees, New Zealand resident companies must apply for accreditation under the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) scheme via the New Zealand Immigration website. There are four levels of accreditation available as follows:

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý standard accreditation – for standard businesses hiring up to five migrants

  2. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý high-volume accreditation – for standard
