4.1ÌýÌýÌýÌý Valuing benefits-in-kind

Employees are often given benefits-in-kind (BIKs) and cash allowances in Nigeria from their employer. These include housing and transport allowances, utility costs, lunch allowances, leave allowances, club subscriptions, clothing allowances, leave travel, private insurance and other reimbursed costs.

An employee's BIKs and allowances are taxable, except for reasonable relocation expenses, and amounts reimbursed by the employer
