The following details the minimum entitlement that an employee can expect in respect of leave of absence and associated pay. However, some employers, particularly where collective bargaining arrangements exist, may provide for additional entitlement. Employers then should ensure they are aware of not only the current legislation, but also any additional company policies that may exist, as well as any relevant trade union agreements.
