Contributions are required to be remitted by employers to the GPSSA via the UAE Fund Transfer System (UAEFTS), a faster payment system similar to SWIFT payments, and all payments must be in AED. The exact format of the submission file is determined by the specific bank or exchange house used by the employer. The introduction of UAEFTS for payments was designed to streamline the process by enabling the use of a single file for all contribution information rather than duplication of multiple files which had previously been the case.
