Minimum entitlement to work absences is stipulated in Federal Decree Law No (47) of 2021, Art 9, which is part of a series of legislation referred to as UAE Labour Law (see 9.2).
Some aspects of work absences are detailed in Cabinet Resolution No (1) of 2022 on the implementation of Federal Decree-Law No (33) of 2021 Regarding the Regulation of Labour Relations, Arts 19 and 20 (Arts 28–33).
