A4.465 Procedures for collecting tax deducted at source
Where a sum representing income tax is deducted at source from a payment under any of the provisions outlined at A4.401, the payer must account for the tax deducted to HMRC. This article outlines the various procedures for accounting for the tax, which are as follows:

•ÌýÌýÌýÌý a UK resident company must make a return (on form CT61) to HMRC for each return period during which it makes a payment. Return periods are defined by reference to an accounting period and consist of each complete quarter falling within the accounting period, and any remaining periods at the beginning and end of the accounting period which are not complete quarters. •ÌýÌýÌýÌý in the case of a qualifying annual payment or patent royalty by an individual or by a person other than an individual who has some 'modified net income', collection is required through the self-assessment return of the person making
