E3.254 VCT—maximum number of employees

Personal and employment tax

There is a limit on the number of full time equivalent employees that the company (the relevant company) in which the VCT is investing, can have at the time of investment. An employee includes a director, but not an employee on maternity or paternity leave, shared parental leave, parental bereavement leave, or a student on vocational training1.
