E3.321 ISA manager approval

Only persons (including companies) approved by HMRC may manage an ISA1. Such a person is referred to in the Regulations as an 'account manager'.

An eligible person who wishes to be an ISA manager must apply to HMRC CAR Audit (part of the Savings Schemes Office) for approval2 stating the name and address of the applicant and the type or types of components (see E3.307) he wishes to manage.

A person wishing to be an account manager of a Junior ISA account must additionally undertake to publicise (and where appropriate, update) statements of the minimum subscription to a Junior ISA account on a single occasion and the permitted means of payment and undertake to inform persons
