WIPO launches competition for young lawyers on AI training IP dispute resolution
The World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center (WIPO AMC) has announced the 2025 WIPO ADR Young Article Competition, inviting registered members of WIPO ADR Young to submit articles on the theme 鈥楧esigning a Dispute Resolution Procedure for IP Disputes in AI Model Training鈥�. The competition seeks to address the challenges of resolving intellectual property disputes arising from artificial intelligence model training through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) frameworks. Articles must be original works, adhere to a maximum word count of 1,500 words and include a mandatory disclosure of any AI-generated content. Prizes include certificates of achievement for the top essays and scholarships for WIPO Academy Distance Learning courses. A panel of experts will evaluate submissions based on innovation, feasibility, clarity and depth of understanding in intellectual property, technology and ADR. The deadline for submissions is 31 July 2025.
