Where the defendant pleads not guilty1 or declines to enter a plea and the court treats that as a not guilty plea, then the following procedure must be carried out2 in sequence:
(1)ÌýÌýÌýÌý where there is a jury3, the court must inform the jurors of each offence charged in the indictment4 to which the defendant pleads not guilty, and explain to the jurors
